5) MasterCard Foundation Graduate Scholars Program
The MasterCard Foundation Graduate Scholars Program is a five-year doctoral scholarship offered by MIT. The program’s mission is to improve lives in developing countries by strengthening graduate education in these areas. Awardees receive an annual stipend of $70,000 and will be mentored by professors at MIT during their studies. Additionally, students who complete their doctoral degrees will be expected to return home and continue teaching or conduct research in a developing country.
